    Hello rwlink3z8 ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

You can accomplish this by adding a Market Analyzer, and then adding 2 Indicator columns, one with the Up Volune and one with the Down Volume.

There is also a "Volume up down" indicator you can add to your Charts.

To add a Volume Up/Down indicator to both your Market Analyzer and Chart, please follow these steps: Adding the Volume Up/Down Indicator to a Market Analyzer
    1. Open Market Analyzer:
      • Go to Control Center > New > Market Analyzer.
    2. Add the Indicator:
      • Right-click within the Market Analyzer window and select Columns.
      • In the Available columns list, scroll down and select Indicator.
      • On the right, choose Volume Up/Down from the Indicator dropdown.
      • Configure any specific parameters if needed, then click OK to add it to the Market Analyzer.
    3. Adjust Settings (Optional):
      • You can further customize the indicator display by adjusting properties such as color and display options within the Columns settings.
Adding the Volume Up/Down Indicator to a Chart
    1. Open a Chart:
      • Go to Control Center > New > Chart.
      • Select the instrument you wish to view and click OK to open the chart.
    2. Apply the Indicator:
      • Right-click on the chart and select Indicators.
      • In the Available indicators list, find and select Volume Up/Down.
      • Adjust any parameters as desired, then click Add to apply it to the chart.
    3. Finalize the Indicator Settings:
      • Once the indicator is added, click OK to save your changes and view the Volume Up/Down data on your chart.

These steps should get the Volume Up/Down indicator displayed in both the Market Analyzer and on your Chart.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

          Hello rwlink3z8 ,

          Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately this is not a native/default indicators in NinjaTrader 8.

          However, I would suggest searching the user ecosystem for custom NinjaScripts that may accomplish the same goal or closely resemble the indicators your have mentioned;

          Please try searching here:

Trading Indicators | Automated Strategies | Trading Apps | NinjaTrader Ecosystem

Here is a basic guideline of how to import NinjaScript add-ons in NinjaTrader 8:
Note — To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

          To Import:
          1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
          2. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on...
          3. Select the downloaded .zip file
          4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'

Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by:
          • Right-click your chart > Indicators... > Select the Indicator from the 'Available' list on the left > Add > OK

Here is a short video demonstration of the import process:

              Hello,

              Thank you for your message.

Is the code you are working with, a script coded by yourself using the Strategy Builder, or was it acquired from a 3rd party?

If it is your own code, please contact our engineering team at

              [email protected]

and they will be able to guide you further in this regard.

If it is a 3rd party strategy, you would want to contact the developer for assistance with their software.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
