    I am running - CORRECTION, I WAS RUNNING NINJATRADER 8 IN WINDOWS 10 PRO ON MY PC AND HAD A PROBLEM WITH DISAPPEARING FIBONACCI DRAWINGS WHEN I EDITED THE FIB DRAWING'S PROPERTIES. THE CLIENT SERVICES REP SENT ME THESE INSTRUCTIONS:

    Please use the steps provided below to repair your installation:
    • Close NinjaTrader
    • Go to your Windows Control Panel
    • Select "Uninstall a program"
    • Select NinjaTrader 8
    • Click Repair
    • Once completed open NinjaTrader
    ​HE TOLD ME "The steps uninstall steps I provided is for a basic uninstall/reinstall which will not remove any workspaces, settings, etc. as opposed to a complete uninstall/reinstall of NinjaTrader.​"

    WELL, the REPAIR option was NEVER displayed and HIS INSTRUCTIONS RESULTED IN NINJATRADER BEING COMPLETELY UNINSTALLED FROM MY PC. The last bullet in his instructions says "Once completed open NinjaTrader​", which I CANNOT do since the program was COMPLETELY UNINSTALLED.

    NOW, WHAT THE F DO I DO TO RECOVER ALL MY WORK?

    THIS CLIENT SERVICES REP SHOULD BE FIRED

    Thank you for the message.

    From here, you just need to reinstall NinjaTrader and your various settings, templates, and workspaces should be back.
    In the future, you are always welcome to export a backup of your platform and settings before doing any kind of update or big PC/system changes to ensure you have a backup of your work:Please see the following link for more information on the Export/Import Backup Process:

    If the "Repair" option was never displayed, this would mean you went into the Windows "Apps" view instead of the Windows Control Panel.
    • Close NinjaTrader
    • Go to your Windows Control Panel

      • You would have then clicked Repair and then Next through the prompts until done.​

    All of your stuff is still in the PC as long as you didn't touch anything in the Documents folder.

    The technician who gave you the steps was correct in that doing a basic uninstall and reinstall of the platform will not remove any of your unique templates, workspaces, or other files.
    • Again, the issue was most likely that you were looking at the "Apps" screen instead of the "Control Panel" > Uninstall a program view

    Please follow the steps at the top of this post to reinstall NinjaTrader and your various settings should be back.

      Thanks Clayton. I was in the Control Panel's Add/remove Programs, but did not notice the "Repair" option at the top. I wish the other technician had included the screen shot that you did.
