    Paper trading account

    I have two questions that are related.
    1) The order Tab did show a stop order with cancel Pending in red and I can't cancel the order. even closing the platform and reopening. I had to reset the sim account. Did the order reside on your server?
    2) I saw an answer by customer support (I can't locate it) that if I recall correctly said that we can request a paper account to test the reliability of the strategy execution. With a paper account the verification would be closer to reality since all orders would reside on a remote server, not just on our computer. Is it possible to request that or is it what I just saw logging in the Ninjatrader account page where I saw DEMOXXXXXX Sim account? If yes can it be enabled for desktop?

    Thank you for reaching out.

    1) Since you say you were able to reset the sim account, that would indicate the order was "stuck" on the Sim101 or SimAccount /local simulation account.

    These accounts live locally on your NT8 Desktop platform and there are situations where simulation orders can become stuck, which requires a reset in this manner:
    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the "Accounts" tab.
    • Right-click on your simulation account and select "Edit Account".
    • Press the "Reset" button > Yes > OK.



    2) Yes, the DEMO is server side simulation account that you can use as well to simulate, and it would mimic more how a Live account with NinjaTrader would behave.

    To add this to your desktop:

    Please go to Connections -> configure.

    Find and add the connection called "NinjaTrader"

    Set the properties on the right with your username and password (not optional)

    Set the account type as "Simulation"

    Apply and OK. Then go back to Connections and click on the connection you just saved. The DEMO youy see on your online Dashboard should now appear connected on the Desktop.

      Nice, thank you!. Following your instructions I saw the Demo was already present automatically configured with the installation I imagine.
