"Data Series" settings - Break at EOD

    Hi,

I am at Pacific time zone and have index Futures charts, the sessions go from 3 pm previous
day to 2 pm, current day, so the "End Of Day" is actually in the middle of the session.

Wonder if it is possible to "Break at End Of Session" ?

    Thanks so much !

    Hello warpinator,

    Thank you for posting.

When trading a CME US Index Futures instrument the session break outlined by the CME Exchange is from 4:00 PM CST to 5:00 PM CST therefore this is expected behavior.

Let me know if I may be of further assistance.

      Hi Chris,

Thanks so much for your reply.

So, I set up a 5000 volume bar chart for Index Future, "Break at EOD" is checked, but the last bar of previous session crossed
4:00 PM CST / 5:00 PM CST, for example, last bar of previous session started to form at 3:53 PM CST and ended at 5:47 PM CST,
I expected that a new bar should start to form at 5 PM CST when the new session starts.

Not sure what I did wrong with the settings.

      Thanks

Please right click in your chart and select "Reload All Historical Data" If the issue persists please right click in your chart->Data Series and tell me what "Trading hours" template you have selected. Also please attach a screenshot of your chart to your reply so I may look into this further.
To capture a screenshot I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.Alternatively to capture a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and attach the file to your reply.
        Thanks in advance.
