    Pixelated Platform on Curved Monitor

    Hello,
    I recently upgraded to a larger curved monitor. The fonts in NT look very blurry / pixelated. I don't think it's an issue with the monitor settings as you can see other windows look crisp, for instance here is browser window juxtaposed against NT for comparison. It was an issue when I initially installed the monitor, but somehow after restarting it went away. Today I ran a windows and parallels update and its back again even after restarting many times. I know it's fixable as it was previously resolved before I ran the updates. For reference this is NT 8.13.0 64 bit . thanks

    Thank you for the message.

    NinjaTrader was not made for use with 4K monitors so it is possible you may have to mess with some of the Windows Dimension, Aspect Ratio, and other Visual settings to get the text to stop blurring.


    On top of that, you are on an extremely outdated and unsupported version of NinjaTrader.

    Please follow the steps below to update to 8.0.28.0 or 8.1.3.1:
    • Login into your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
    • Click "Download" in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar
    • Select "Download" in the "Most Recent Release" section (8.0.28.0 is under Prior releases)
    • Once the installation is downloaded, ensure any previous version of NinjaTrader is closed before running the installation package.
    If you went with 8.1.3.1: After completing the installation, you can log into the platform using the same username and password as your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard.
    • Note: Updating NinjaTrader Desktop will not affect any custom configurations, workspaces, or add-ons.
    • A visual walkthrough of the update process may be found here in our Help Center.

    After updating, you can see if the behavior continues.
    • If yes, you would have to reach out to a Windows, PC, or Parallels technician for further help adjusting the video settings to make the oddly appearing text go away.
    • Otherwise we can provide the steps to do a completely fresh installation of NinjaTrader without any prior settings or add-ons and see if the behavior continues.
      • If yes, then again, you would have to reach out to a Windows/PC Tech.
      • If no, then that would mean something in the prior workspace was causing the behavior to happen.
