    Hello dbennett3,

    Thank you for the message.

It would appear that the new NinjaScript has some similar references or items in it to a previously imported NinjaScript and it is preventing the new one from coming in. For example:
    • There is already a NinjaScript in the platform that says X = 5
    • The new NinjaScript references the same variable and says that X = 11
      • Since X can't equal both 5 and 11 at the same time, the platform doesn't let you import the NinjaScript and break things.
    From here, you can:
    • You could go to the Control Center > Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly
      • See if it is in here. If yes, click on it then click Remove
      • Wait for the prompt to say it is finished and then restart NinjaTrader
    • If it wasn't in the list above, go to the Control Center > New > NinjaScript Editor
      • Click through all of the folders on the right side of the window and look for the Indicator and then right-click on it and Remove it
    • Reach out to the developer of the old NinjaScript and ask them which files in there are specific to their add-on and where to remove them from.
    • Reach out to the developer of the new NinjaScript and ask them what could be getting in the way and get their help removing the offending items.
    • Or, remove all of the 3rd party add-ons and restart fresh. Then reimport your add-ons back in 1-by-1 starting with the new one. Then, if the error appears again, you will know where the competing files were coming from.
      • Again, these steps will remove ALL of the 3rd party add-ons and you will have to reimport them from the .zip files again:
      • Close NinjaTrader
        • Go to the Documents folder > NinjaTrader 8 > bin, Right-click on this folder and Rename it to "bin Old" and press Enter to save the name change
        • Now we need to Repair the NinjaTrader installation:
          • Go to the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features > Click NinjaTrader 8 > Click Repair > Click Next through the prompts until finished
        • Reopen NinjaTrader and check for compile errors using the steps below:
          • Go to New > NinjaScript Editor > Right-click on the background and Compile to show if there are any errors remaining
          • If yes, take a screenshot of the error messages and include that in your response.

Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
