    Alerts broken in Playback

Whenever I make any adjustments to the time settings on the Playback connection, it breaks all of my Alerts. And then, when I go into the Alerts to try and fix them, it either gives me an error saying:
    Code:
You must have at least one alert condition.
    or
    Code:
Object reference is set to an object that does not exist.
This happens no matter how many new alert conditions I try to add, or when I am selecting an object that is in the list of already-drawn objects (which means it must exist for it to be on that list).

I've noticed that it wants to create a new Alert when I go to an object that already has an alert on it and, in the past, I've been able to delete the new Alert and go back to the original and recreate just the condition, but now I can't even do that. And I can't spend 10 minutes re-creating all my alerts from scratch every time I want to go back and try running a trade session with a slightly different technique. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am trying to learn programmming the NINJATRADER8. How do I resolve this "Error, "Resource" does not contain a definition for "NinjaScriptIndicatorLine", Code "CS01117"?" All I need to do is add an editable line in the user interface with a default values.

      Hello NjTMatthew ,

      Thank you for reaching out.

Alerts are checked every 200 milliseconds and the Playback connection pumps data in every 1 second when set to MAX speed. Due to this, alerts are not intended to be used with Playback while using an increased speed. This could be seen in the 'Using Alerts' section of the NinjaTrader 8 help guide linked below. From the help guide:

      2) Alerts are not intended to be used with Playback while using an increased speed. Alerts are checked every 200 milliseconds, so using them in Playback could result in an alert not triggering.

Instead of using the Playback connection, you could use the Simulated Data Feed connection and the Sim 101 account to test your alerts.

See the help guide documentation below for more information.

      Using Alerts: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...ing_alerts.htm

Please let us know if you alerts are also not working in regular simulation.
