I cant find the indicator I just installed

Hi. I tried searching for info about this but no luck.... so please tell me how to identify an indicator name after I have uploaded it. The naming is never the same as the file that I downloaded and then installed using tools/import. Sometimes I can not even find the indicator after I have installed it. If I'm not being dumb about it (which is surely possible), then maybe ninjatrader should tell you the actual name of the indicator once they have installed it. Thank you for your thoughts.

Thank you for posting on the NInjaTrader forums.


Generally you can find an indicator by:

• Right-clicking on any chart and select Indicators.
• In the Available list, scroll through to find the installed third-party indicator.
• Select it and click Add to apply it to your chart.

If you do not see the indicator you can try removing it by going to Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly. Then try re-adding it again.

I have this sometimes too. It's not that the indicator isn't there, but the name is different to what you think so you spend minutes looking for it. The ability to see most recently installed indicators or something would be helpful.

Customer support missed the point, but user Several hit it right on the head. The indicator name when downloaded is different than what is eventually put into the indicator list. I still can't find some I have downloaded. It would be really simple to tell people what name the indicator actually has, right after uploading/installing it, in the "...you have successfully installed ..." message that shows up immediately after installation.
