However, often when I draw a line, and then copy and paste it. The result is not entirely accurate. Sometimes it is sometimes not, but this line for example, no matter how many times I copy and paste it. I always pastes differently to the original.

Copying line doesn't always copy it correctly.
Hello hello, I'm using the line tool to create channels because I don't like the channel tool.
However, often when I draw a line, and then copy and paste it. The result is not entirely accurate. Sometimes it is sometimes not, but this line for example, no matter how many times I copy and paste it. I always pastes differently to the original.

Hello several
Thank you for reaching out.
The issue you're experiencing when copying and pasting lines is caused by how NinjaTrader handles the coordinates of drawing objects on the chart, specifically the anchor points of your lines. This can cause slight inconsistencies when copying and pasting if the coordinates are affected by the chart scale and zoom level.
Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this:- Snap Mode: Ensure that the "Snap mode" is set correctly for your drawing tools. To check this, right-click on the chart, go to Drawing Tools > Properties, and make sure "Snap Mode" is set to "Bar" or another appropriate setting. This will ensure the line anchors snap to specific points like the price or time.
- Chart Scale and Zoom: The pasting inconsistency could be caused by your chart scale. Ensure that the zoom and bar spacing of the chart do not change after copying the line. If the chart's scale changes slightly, it could cause the pasted line to be offset slightly.
- Chart Locking and Layering: Try locking the original lines to avoid unintended movement or changes when copying. Right-click on the line, and click Lock to prevent accidental adjustments. Additionally, ensure that the lines are on the same drawing layer. Right-click on the chart and select Drawing Tools > Send to Back or Bring to Front to adjust their layering.
If the issue persists, feel free to send you log and trace files from NinjaTrader for further investigation. You can do this by:
Going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support
Make sure to categorize your request at the top.
Ensure 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.
If you could also provide a screenshot of what you are seeing, that would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, we look forward to helping resolve this issue for you.
