Unable to deinstall 3rd party indicators

    Hello,

I'm trying to deinstall 3rd party indicators and by going through the path "Tools" and then "Remove Ninja Script Assembly" but as soon as I click on Remove Ninja Scripts Assembly an error message appears saying " Remove Failed. You have custom NinjaScript files on your PC that have programming errors. These errors must be resolved before...etc."

So then I tried to simply locate the indicator files on my hard drive and deleted them but that hasn't helped either. I've also deinstalled and reinstalled Ninjatrader Desktop to no avail.

I'd be glad for your help !

    Hello ChrisTrades789,

    Thank you for the message.

I'm not sure what all you deleted when you, " tried to simply locate the indicator files on my hard drive and deleted them ".
    • Depending on what was removed here, it could make everything else more complex.
    • It isn't recommended to delete random NinjaTrader files unless you have specific steps from support instructing you to do so.

If you get Compile Errors again in the future, follow the steps below:

Please use the following steps to see where the compile errors are coming from and send that in your response so we may provide more detailed information on how to resolve them:
    • Open NinjaTrader
    • Go to the Control Center > New > NinjaScript Editor > Right-click on the background > Click Compile
    • If any errors appear, make the window full screen and then send us a screenshot of as many of the errors as possible.
      • If you are unsure of how to take a screenshot, I recommend using the Windows Snipping tool.
        • Click on the Windows Icon at the bottom of your screen and type the word "Snip"
        • Click on the Snipping tool, click New, then click and drag around the area you want to screenshot
        • Click File > Save As > Save the screenshot where you can find it
        • Please click here for a video demonstration
Once we have the screenshot we will respond with the specific steps that are needed to make these compile errors go away.

If you would be okay doing a completely fresh installation of NinjaTrader to just start from scratch, you may follow the steps below. This will remove ALL of your prior workspaces, templates, add-ons, and settings:
    • Close all running applications.
    • Navigate to your Documents folder > Right-click on the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 8 OLD'. DO NOT delete this folder.
    • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
    • Navigate to C:\ > Program File (x86) > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder if it exists
    • Reboot your PC.
    • Once these steps are completed, please log in to your dashboard and download and install NT8:
From here, you will want to sign back in, re-enable Multi-provider Mode, and then re-configure your Connection and test if NinjaTrader is opening and working as expected.
Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
