I’m *reasonably* certain there is a Setting to toggle either or both on or off - perhaps Tools > Options > Trading or one of those Tabs.
Deleting Sound file will, of course, stop it!

Nah no point - I've been submitting feature requests for the last 15 years on Ninjatrader and not one of them has ever been implemented - never have I known a company disregard the needs of its clientelle as much as nInjatrader!

There is no "OrderSubmitted" file in that location (NT v8.1.3.1 64-bit, Windows 11). Is there another location where it might be? Or is that particular sound file embedded in a DLL and cannot be deleted or turned off?

Can you just add a button to silence or remove? these alerts and beyond annoying when I'm listening to some audio on same computer and they just blare out at 1000 x the volume.

No one should be expected to go deleting files - what if we want it back on sometimes?

FWIW, I am finding that if you click the "x" next to "Order pending" and the "x" next to "Order filled" in the above dialog in Options/General/Sounds, and then you save the workspace and restart that the sounds are successfully turned off for me. This is with NT8 8.1.4.1.

This does not delete any files from your drive, but it does remove their names from the dialog. To get them back, you just click the appropriate empty box and reselect the file out in the explorer dialog.

I agree there should be settings. But its easy enough to rename them, so if you want them back you can rename them back. Honestly, I would much prefer the development team spend time fixing bugs.
