    Out-of-date commissions template?

    Greetings,

    Commissions for MYM on my platform are off by 5 cents according to https://ninjatrader.com/PDF/ninjatra...ommissions.pdf.

    I have tried restarting the platform and updating the commissions template from Tools --> Database Management --> Update commissions template, but there were no changes. I don't think this is something I need to update myself periodically, correct?

    I have a lifetime plan. Is there something which needs to be updated on the backend, or is there something I am missing on the platform or a technical issue preventing the retrieval of the most up-to-date commissions template?

    Thank you for posting.

    The commission displayed on the website of $0.61 is correct and this template issue has been reported to our Development Team. Until this is resolved within the Template panel please click Copy->Give the template a new name->Select MYM->edit->Set Minimum commission to 0.00->Set Per-unit commission to 0.61->Click Ok->Then apply this template to your account within the Accounts tab of the Control Center.

        I'm sorry to report this issue has not been resolved. Am I doing something wrong? I reinstalled on another computer, but the results are the same

        Unless it's me, the issue has grown worse; now all commissions (on the lifetime template) are out of date for the simulator and my live account (though on the backend it's correct, but none of my reporting is correct as a result of this discrepancy. https://ninjatrader.com/PDF/ninjatra...ommissions.pdf

        MYM has .56 as commission
        MNQ has .61 as commission, ditto MES.

        All three of these instruments should have .65 as their new cost per contract. 6A, 6B, 6C, etc. are out of date, and the list goes on down the line.

          Hello FlimFlam,

          Thank you for the update.

          With the recent increase in the clearing fees, it has caused the templates to become misaligned.

          I have reported this to the Development team so that we can get these values updated on the backend servers so that you can refresh and the values be accurate.


          Until we are able to get the Instrument Servers updated, please make a copy of the closest template and then customize the values to the Current Commissions for your account:
          • Go to the Control Center > Tools > Commissions
          • On the left, click the closest template, towards the bottom, click copy
          • Give this copy a Unique Name
          • Now, go through and update the values of the instruments you trade.
          • Once done click OK

          Now, set that custom template as the Commission Template for your account:
          • Go to the Control Center > Accounts tab > Right-click the desired account > Edit account > Commission > Set this to the new custom template > Click OK

          As a side note, the local Commission Template within NinjaTrader would have no effect on the values in the Trade Performance Report for a "NinjaTrader" Live or Demo account. Nor would it change the values of a Tradovate-based Evaluation connection. Those values are defined on the Online Servers by the Broker or Evaluation provider
