Real-time running total for points during trade session

Is it not possible to see where my account stands for the session as it relates to points gained/lost for an instrument? In my mind something akin to switching the PnL displayed on the Accounts tab from currency to points (like is possible on chart trader for a single trade)?

I'm trying to monitor my success during a session and be focused on points rather that dollars. Thanks, in advance...

Thank you for posting on the NinjaTrader forums.


You can monitor points gained or lost for an instrument and display it similar to how you can see it in Chart Trader but for your entire session, an alternative approach is using the Trade Performance Window to Track Points:

1. Open the Trade Performance Window:
   • Go to Control Center > New > Trade Performance.
2. Set the Instrument:
   • In the Trade Performance window, ensure you're selecting the instrument you want to track under the "Instruments" filter.
3. Switch to Points View:
   • Once the Trade Performance window is open, select Points as the display mode. You can do this by selecting the Display dropdown in the window and choosing Points.
   • This will allow you to view performance for your session based on points gained or lost instead of currency.

Thanks for this reply. I already knew about the reports, but they're static and are only useful after you hit the "Generate" button and only as a snapshot. I am looking for something exactly like the PnL column on the Accounts tab, where it keeps a running total of your session. The difference is I'm looking for points instead of currency as that total is being displayed.
