Trading hours configuration: why is this not possible?

Hello support team and forum members,

I am trying to have trading hours as displayed in the image, but I'm not able to apply this configuration. Why is this not a possibility?

    Looking forward to your answer(s).

What I basically want to achieve is that each bar runs from 05:00 AM on one day to 05:00 AM the next day, and so on. That means that on Friday 05:00 AM the chart should print a new bar and only close it until Monday 05:00 AM the next week. While the next bar starts from Monday 05:00 AM and closes on Tuesday 05:00 AM to open a new bar. Is that possible somehow?

      Hello GLFX005,

      Thank you for posting.

The only way to achieve what you have described is to change the End day for the last line to Saturday as referenced in the attached screenshot.

Let me know if I may be of further assistance.

          Hello NinjaTrader_ChristopherJ,

When I put the trading hours as you have shown, I see that there are now 6 days in a week instead of 5. Does that make sense or am I on to something here?

With this Trading Hours template there are 6 sessions input therefore this would be expected to display 6 days when plotted to the chart.

              Hello NinjaTrader_ChristopherJ,

I tried to configure the trading hours as per the image below, but now the problem is that the bar skips the 12 hour time period from 05:00 PM on Sunday to 05:00 AM on Monday. This is because I am forced to end the Friday session on Saturday 05:00 AM, even though I would like that session to end on Monday 05:00 AM.

What I want to achieve should look like this:

Start Monday 05:00 AM — End Tuesday 05:00 AM
Start Tuesday 05:00 AM — End Wednesday 05:00 AM
Start Wednesday 05:00 AM — End Thursday 05:00 AM
Start Thursday 05:00 AM — End Friday 05:00 AM
Start Friday 05:00 AM — End Monday 05:00 AM (and repeat)

Is there a way to configure my template like this or is it impossible due to internal restrictions of the platform?

I look forward to your reply!

              Kind regards

Unfortunately the times you referenced in your post would not be supported when creating a custom Trading hours template within NinjaTrader.
