    Hot key active window

Hi, is there a way to change the border color of the active chart window to make sure the hot keys im using are on that actual chart?

#timemeantnothing I’m not sure if this is what you seek to do - there’s is an indicator in the user AppShare called something like ‘Panel Highlighter’ or Chart Panel Highlighter’ which allows you to configure such that the active panel border can change to a different colour and/or thickness so it stands out. Also, it can change the background colour of the chart, and modify the cursor.
Although not requested, you may be interested in an indicator - HTCrosshairHighlighter or something similar, which similarly changes the crosshairs on the active panel (colour, thickness) if you want to more easily see mouse location.
Or any combination of the above that best suits your requirements.
    Knock yourself out….
    Best,

      Hello timemeantnothing,

      Thank you for posting.

Unfortunately this option is not available by default within NinjaTrader however there may be other add-ons available online as brucerobinson mentioned that can help with identifying which chart is currently selected.

A bit off that exact issue but having to do with active window hot keys because I would rather use my hot keys to initiate and modify orders. Specifically, I often find the hot key is faster than mouse clicking a DOM. Theoretically would it be possible to code a prefix macro so that every time I press my Fx hot key, Ninja will turn my DOM into the "active window" automatically by default? I'm finding that I'm missing trades or order modifications because I forgot my DOM was no longer my active window. The lost time of realizing DOM is not my active window and making that correction is inhibiting my trading in a fast market.

        Possible?

        Thanks
        Bruce
