Chart timestamp for each bar seems off by one

When I compare the ninjatrader chart's each bar's timestamp, it seem to be off by one bar when compared with tradingview.

Take the following chart for example:
9:55 is the timestamp for the last bar in that green box in trading view.


However, in Ninjatrader, that bar's timestamp is 10:00.


I wonder if Ninjatrader uses a bar's closing time instead of opening time to print on the chart? Is there a config setting to make the chart using the opening time to print as the timestamp, which is pretty standard across the industry?

Thank you for posting on the NinjaTrader forums.

You are correct, NinjaTrader 8 stamps the bar at the end of the bar. i.e you are looking at a 5-minute chart, it will stamp at 9:55 within Tradingview and 10 within NinjaTrader.


At this point, it is not possible to change how this is handled, as it is a core element with how NinjaTrader's charts are displayed. You can find documentation on this and other relevant topics here:
