    NT freezes

    Hi
Over the past two weeks NT8 has been freezing and I have to reboot my computer. I am running the latest version of the software. Have removed excess charts that are not essential but still freezes up occasionally. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Generally, we would suggest checking out our General Performance Tips available here:
Most users have seen success with this and have reported improved performance across the board. In the even that this does not work for you, we recommend reaching out to our support team at support@ninjatrader[dot]com for further assistance.

    Thank you in advance.

Try rebuilding your workspace. Create a brand new one, and add your charts/strategies/indicators in fresh.

You can also reinstall NT8 by following the instructions here:

        Thank you for the message.

If you would like to do a completely fresh installation of the NinjaTrader Platform to verify how the base platform without anything runs and then bring your 3rd party add-ons back in, you are more than welcome to do so.

You may follow the steps listed below to completely uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader. This will remove all of your prior Files, Workspaces, Templates, Add-ons, and settings.
        • Close all running applications.
        • Navigate to your Documents folder > Right-click on the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 8 OLD'. DO NOT delete this folder.
        • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
        • Navigate to C:\ > Program File (x86) > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder if it exists
        • Reboot your PC.
        • Once these steps are completed, please log in to your dashboard and download and install NT8:

From here, you will want to sign back in, re-enable Multi-provider Mode, and then re-configure your Connection and test if NinjaTrader is opening and working as expected. Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
