Real time Kinetic data delayed by ~15 min

I've seen from other posts (in 2022 and 2008) that you need log files to diagnose this problem. Is this still the case? Or is it possible I have something misconfigured?

I need the lowest latency possible, preferably < 100 ms, if such a thing is possible. (A delay of 15 minutes makes the whole thing unusable, ofc.)

Yes - you'll want to send us your log and trace files to support@ninjatrader[dot]com.

1. Press the "Windows Key + E" on your keyboard to open the Windows File Explorer.
2. Go to Documents/NinjaTrader
3. Left-click on the "log" folder to highlight it.
4. Right-click and select "Compress to ZIP file"
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the "trace" folder
6. Send these .zip files as attachments to your email response.

To clarify, this is not an existing issue or problem, this is expected behavior when clients only purchase the Basic Service fee as it does not provide real time data by itself.

In order to receive real time Futures data you would need to purchase the real-time Futures exchange for a separate fee. Since you have a funded NinjaTrader brokerage account, you may be qualified for reduced Globex fee prices. Globex would reduce the exchange fee for the CME, CBOT, NYMEX or the COMEX from $138.60 per month each to $2 each or $5.35 for all four. More information on Globex can be found here.

So to be clear, I don't want Futures data, I just want regular stock tickers. How do I get that? I used to have it with TDA, but that no longer works and I haven't seen anything saying Schwab works yet. So I'm trying to get my IBKR account working for trading stocks, and the only way I can get the charts to move during live hours is to connect with Kinetick, which lags by 15 minutes.

I'm not married to Kinetick -- I just need stock data that doesn't lag. Is there something I should be using from Interactive Brokers instead?

Nevertheless, I will email Kinetick right now to see if they have some kind of option for regular stocks. (I am on their service purchase page right now, and it sure doesn't say anything about the data being lagged by 15 minutes, lol.)

FWIW, I'm interacting with Kinetick r/n and it sounds like the issue is that I need to add NYSE L1 and Nasdaq L1 over and above the basic level. Will confirm when I have it.

If you subscribe to live data for stocks with your IBKR account, then you can use that data feed in NinjaTrader and wouldn't need Kinetick unless you also want to have Kinetick as another source

Be mindful of Interactive Brokers data feeds. They may have limits to how much market data can be pulled at any given time. I recall coming across this when first looking into the various options for market data and brokers with NinjaTrader.

Wow, ok thanks for the info ntbone. That chart is very helpful. Data limits could very easily become an issue for me in the future, so that is really good intel to have up front.

Also, I am running live now with real-time data with Kinetick Basic + NYSE L1 and Nasdaq L1, so all is good. Thanks for the help everyone!
