DOM price irratic (Rithmic connection)

    DOM price irratic (Rithmic connection)

    Symptom:
    • Price movement extremely choppy in DOM. Someetimes stalls. When in SIM trade, price line is moving on chart, but PNL in DOM and chart trader have "stalled".
    Background:
    • I have two laptops. Both same setups except one is Windows 10 and one is Windows 11. Otherwise, identical NT8, Rithmic Pro.
    • Data has been fine for months (3+) on Rithmic, no issues.
    • Playback appears to work fine, it's just live (sim) that is not working
    • Windows 11 update installed Sep 4, 2024 (2024-08 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5041587))
    Actions Taken:
    • Repaired NT8
    • Reinstalled Rithmic Pro
    • Removed previous connection in Control Panel and recreated
    • Rebooted NT8 and Windows multiple times between changes
    • Reset and repaired DB
    • Downloaded MNQ playback and ran test trades to show DOM appeared to work fine in playback
    • No obvious error in Windows Event viewer - happy to extract if that is helpful
    Trace log attached.

    Would appreciate any suggestions.

    Thank you for posting.

    First please edit your post removing your trace file as this does contain sensitive information. Next so I may look into this further please send an email to [email protected] with "ATTN: Chris Jameson" in the subject line.

    In the message, please include the following:
    1.) A link to this forum thread.
    2.) A copy of your log and trace files.
    3.) A screenshot of both your R Trader Pro connection settings and your connection settings in NinjaTrader

    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your email.
    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as an attachment in your email
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
    To capture a screenshot I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.

    Alternatively to capture a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and attach the file to your email.
