I believe what you are looking for is called the "Price Line" indicator on NinjaTrader 8 Desktop.

Go to your Chart Indicators and find / add this to your display:


The Last line will move with the current price.

When I went to install the zip it said it existed already. I thought I had added it on previously and forgot about it.

I guess it was there natively in NT8.
