    missing global drawing object

On my charts, I used to have global drawing objects "Horizontal lines" 2 to 13. Today, I discovered they are gone and disappeared. I had to re-create horizontal lines 14+++
    1) Does anyone know how to locate them in the NT folder via Documents or restore them because they keep disappearing?

    2) My charts have missing timescale as well. Was working fine previously Click image for larger version

    Hello NightStalker,

    Thank you for the message.

    1. Have you used the Playback connection recently?
    • If yes, this is most likely the cause. If you draw objects and then rewind the playback to before when those drawings were at, it would remove those objects from the chart.
    • You can avoid this by creating a 2nd workspace to have one for Playback and another for Real-time.

If not, does this happen every time you restart NinjaTrader? If you do a targeted test right now, does it happen again?
    • Draw some global drawing objects. Save the workspace. Restart NinjaTrader and see if they are still there.

    2. As for the Timescale, if you right-click on the word "Chart" in the top-left corner of the window > Click Duplicate window, does the duplicated window show the time scale markers?
    • If no, try making a new 1-Minute chart with the Template set to <None> and test if a basic/default chart shows as expected. If yes what is the difference between the two?

Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.

      1) No, I did not use Playback. If I drew more drawing objects, restarted NT, these are saved. The problem is occasionally these will disappear (it happened again today) and I have to keep redrawing so many key levels and configure each of them and this takes alot of time. Alternatively, if there is a script to configure key horizontal levels, that would be helpful but I'm not a programmer

      2) If I duplicate, the new duplicated window shows the time scale markers but the original still doesn't have the time scale. Anyway, this is a quick workaround while not solving the root cause of the issue

        Hello nightstalker,

        Thank you for the update.

If you drew all of these objects on the prior contract, they could also be attached to that.
        • If you open the Drawing Object settings, look at the "Attach to" setting. Is it set to the current contract or the prior one?

If the drawing objects are still not saving or showing on the chart, please use the following steps to send your log and trace files to the support team directly from your NinjaTrader Platform so we may investigate this behavior further:
        • Within NinjaTrader, go to the Control Center > Help > Email Support...
        • To: Set this to "Platform Technical Support"
        • Subject: Copy and paste the Forum URL
        • Attach: Attach a file, picture, or compressed file to share multiple files/pictures
          • Take a few screenshots of the behavior, save them in a compressed file, and then you can attach the compressed file with multiple pictures.
        • Body: Include any other information you would like to share on the situation
        • Make sure 'Log and Trace files' is checked to include the requested files
          • Send the email

Please send in the requested files and information if you still have further questions.

Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
