    Migrating from C to D drive

    I have run out of space on my C drive and added a much larger D drive to my computer. I copied all of the appropriate NT8 folders to the D drive and that is the drive where I launch NT8. The problem is that all of my workspaces are saving on the C drive. I haven't checked, but I assume everything is saving to the C drive. How do I change that?

    Might be easier to just keep using the C drive for Ninja so nothing needs to change, and move over everything else to D

      I did the following and worked fine.

      Copy your C drive Document / NinjaTrader8 folder and paste it in your D under Documnet folder. The other option is to backup your NT8 and make dure to check all the boxes that you want. Then copy the backup file and paste it in the same location under D drive and restart.

      Cheers!

        Thanks aligator. I did move everything to D:\documents, but that didn't work. Maybe if I install a clean copy on the D drive and then move all the current files......

          Hello SheriDi ,

          Thank you for reaching out.

          NinjaTrader will always install it's files to your Documents folder default location.

          There are 2 folders for NT8

          Documents -> NinjaTrader 8

          OS (C : ) -> Program Files -> NinjaTrader 8

          It is not possible to change this hard-coding. With that said, it is possible to redirect your default Documents directory within Windows. If this is something you are interested in doing, a web search for 'How to redirect default documents folder' will provide a wealth of how-to articles. You will likely have to reinstall NinjaTrader once the redirect is complete.

            Thank you. I was afraid of that.
