Two Different Firms, Single Instance of NT 8.1

Hello,

I am running NT 8.1.3.1.

How do I attach license keys from two different firms to a single Ninja Trader username?

I have a license key for Apex Trader Funding.
I have a second license key for Take Profit Trader.

I have installed NT 8.1.3.1. I did this per the following Take Profit Trader instructions.
I logged into Tradovate using my Take Profit Trader credentials, I downloaded and installed NT Desktop,
then I logged into NT Desktop using my Tradovate credentials.

I then enabled the Multi Provider option and set up a connection with my Apex user name and password.
See attached picture. I successfully connected to Apex, I am receiving real time data, but I cannot access my Apex accounts.

Presumably this is because the instance of NT that I am using was installed using my Take Profit Trader
credentials, not my Apex credentials.

I need to understand whether I can access both of these accounts within a single instance of NT 8.1.
If this is possible, how do I do this?

Thank you for the message.

If you go to the Control Center > Help > About, do you see the Entitlement: "Evaluation (Rithmic)"?

• If yes, then you already have the Evaluation Entitlement on your Username.
• If no, then you need to reach out to our support team directly over email with your Username so we can manually add it.

We stopped requiring Evaluation License keys for Usernames created after July 19th, 2024.

• Also, if you imported one Eval. License Key, you had the entitlement for all of them.
• They may look different, but they all activated the Evaluation (Rithmic) entitlement on your Username.

If your Apex and Take Profit accounts are both Rithmic-based, then you will only be able to connect to ONE of them at a time.

• This is a limitation of the "Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage" connection adapter.
• You can have both of the connections configured, but you would only be able to actively connect to one of them at a time.
  • You would have to disconnect from the first connection to then be able to connect to the 2nd one.
  • And then vice-versa to switch back.

If you are still not able to see the Account, please use the following steps to rename the database file so NinjaTrader automatically creates a new one:

• Close NinjaTrader
• Go to Documents folder > NinjaTrader 8 > db > NinjaTrader.sqlite, right-click on this file and select 'Rename' and change the name to "NinjaTrader Old.sqlite" and then click off of it anywhere to save the name change

Reopen NinjaTrader and connect to the account and verify if it shows.


If you are still not seeing the accounts, please use the following steps to send your log and trace files to the support team directly from your NinjaTrader Platform so we may investigate this behavior further:

• Within NinjaTrader, go to the Control Center > Help > Email Support...
• To: Set this to "Platform Technical Support"
• Subject: Copy and paste the Forum URL
• Attach: Attach a file, picture, or compressed file to share multiple files/pictures
• Body: Include any other information you would like to share on the situation
• Make sure 'Log and Trace files' is checked to include the requested files
  • Send the email
