    Hello,

    Often, I have holes in the data , notably when I open charts in the morning. Generally, deleting files on the documents / NT8 is enough, but not today where I have no quotes at the open (except of course the current candlestick). cf screen capture below

    What can I do ? Thanks for your time

      Thank you for the message.

      Try to right-click on the chart and select "Reload all historical data".
      • Did it backfill the data?

      Is NinjaTrader being left open overnight, but not connected to real-time data? Or, being left open overnight but the PC falls asleep?
      • If yes, these are things that could cause this kind of gap.
      It would be recommended to Close NinjaTrader at the end of the day and reopen it again the next morning unless you have a specific reason to leave it open and running overnight like an open Order, Position, or a NinjaScript Strategy is managing the account on your behalf.

      If the PC is going to Sleep:

      NinjaTrader will not function properly when your computer is allowed to sleep or hibernate.
      • There isn't a setting in NinjaTrader to keep it active while the computer sleeps.
      • NinjaTrader requires an active internet connection in order to retrieve data and function correctly.

      My recommendation would be to instead set your PC to simply dim or turn off the display after a designated amount of time. More information on these settings can be found at the following link.
      If you need to place your computer into sleep or hibernate mode, please be sure and close NinjaTrader first, then once waking your computer, you may reopen the platform to continue trading.

        Hello,

        The PC was not in sleep mode (it is never), I tried of course to reload all historical data but when I do, I lose the few data and start at 0 again with absolute no data at all.
        I deleted also tick, minutes and daily files in the documents folder and restarted Pc and NT8 but problem still there.
        It happened already a few months ago and I had to wait for one day for charts to become available with all data. May be it will be the same today, but having a solution to solve this would be great !
