Coinbase connectivity loop disconnect

That status page is useless, didn't show the datafeed problem and everything according to them is "Operational" when it clearly isn't. Other sites that depend on their BTCUSD feed among others are not updating.Originally posted by teckedge View PostIt looks like issue is on Coinbase. Ninja support should have just posted this update here ..
Support has responded to a ticket I opened saying they are "aware" of the problem, but I'd like to know how a data connection not functioning results in the platform crashing hard, which seems like a bad way to handle external datafeeds going down.
I've been using the main "Continuum" feed for CME futures and it functions just fine. Its definitely on Coinbase to do something, and Ninjatrader to handle the exception without a crash.

I have been having the same issue with NT 8.0.28.0 and only with Coinbase connection It started this week so either something with coinbase has changed or maybe by chance there was a windows update that only effected the coinbase connection ( I believe there was an update that was related to the IPv6 bug found recently or the 0.0.0.0 bug ) but might not be totally correct there.

Oh? So the NT platform doesn't hard-crash when you try to connect? Interesting.Originally posted by beanbag View PostSomething changed. I am now getting data but only snapshot , need to reload to see latest price.
I have gotten no updates from my initial support ticket, so we're all just twisting in the wind here... anyone else hear anything? Its pretty sad that a problem with this kind of visibility has zero communication on the forum from official sources.

It did crash once, but it just keeps connecting and disconnecting.Originally posted by TallTim View Post

Dear NinjaTrader Support,
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the ongoing issue with the Coinbase data feed. Despite numerous reports from users, including myself, about the data feed repeatedly disconnecting, this critical problem persists even after several days. As active traders, we rely heavily on a stable and reliable data feed to execute our strategies. Unfortunately, the current situation makes it impossible to use your platform effectively. This issue is not only disruptive but also poses significant risks to our trading activities.
Given the prevalent nature of this problem, I urge NinjaTrader to prioritize this issue and work with Coinbase to implement a fix as soon as possible.
Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated by the entire NinjaTrader Crypto community.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

Yes, opened a ticket August 21st, and received a reply on the 22nd that they were "aware" of the problem.Originally posted by jabowery View PostHas anyone tried to email support instead of this thread? If so, did you get a reply an what does it say about fixing Coinbase? Are they working on it?
Zero response since then.
Just going to keep bumping this thread until someone says something about this problem from the Ninjatrader side. I paid for the lifetime license, and generally have no issue with the platform, but the handling of this error is starting to irritate me.
Five business days and nothing...

NinjaTrader support is a joke. First they blame it on poor network connectivity. Then they blame it on Coinbase. Now the CoinBase status says no outstanding issues, and NinjaTrader is still crashing. Multiple support tickets open with almost no follow up and no fix in sight. Whoever paid for this should ask for a refund.

I emailed support again since I hadn't heard anything for a good amount of time. They responded with:
"Unfortunately, the changes to Coinbase are preventing our platform from loading data through the Coinbase connection.
Our team is working to restore the connection with the next release of NinjaTrader."
Naturally, I asked how long that is anticipated to be -- since they didn't tell me what kind of timeframe we are looking at here. I'll update when I get a response.
