I cannot open the NT app from my desktop: Error

I am having trouble opening my NT app on my desktop. I have been all over google and youtube trying to find an answer, but nothing works. Here is the error below that its giving me.

C:\program files\ninjatrader 8\bin\agiledotnert64.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. error status 0x000022

Thank you for your post on the NinjaTrader forums.


This error message usually occurs when you've imported an add-on that is using an outdated version of Agiledotnet. The easiest way to resolve would be to rename the folder in the following directory:

• C:\Users\WINDOWSUSER\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin

to 'CustomOLD' and run the .msi installer, choose 'repair'.


This will essentially create a brand new 'Custom' folder without the faulty 'agiledotnet' file and should open as expected.
