Order quantity tied to mouse wheel is dangerous

I think this has been brought up years ago. However, there needs to be an option to turn off having the mouse wheel tied to the order quantity after you click an up or down arrow to manually change your order quantities. I about wiped out my account today because I didn't realize what had happened. Ended up taking a big hit. I manually clicked the up arrow on chart side panel for my order quantity to increase to 2. Clicked buy. I was trying to figure out why I was losing so much money on each tick until I realized my order quantity had been changed to 6. After quickly selling my position for an increased loss I tried to figure out what had happened. I noticed that after clicking on an arrow for the order quantity the cursor gets placed into the numerical field and is easily changed with the mouse scroll. If there is a way to disable this behavior, I'd love to know about it. If not, I honestly think this should be looked into. This can be devastating for beginning traders like myself.

Thank you for the message.

As a current solution, you could turn on Order Confirmation which would verify your order details before it is officially placed.

• Go to the Control Center > Tools > Options
• Trading Category > Check the "Confirm on order placement" box > Click OK
  • Now it will verify the order for you to click Yes and officially submit it
