Hello Emma1,

This can happen if you do a build from visual studio or have other extensions in visual studio that do builds in the background. To resolve this you need to delete some files.

1. Open the folder Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom
2. Remove the folders bin and obj from the above folder.
3. Use the NinjaScript editor to compile while visual studio is closed

To avoid this in visual studio make sure that you are only saving files and not using any of the build features. If this continues to happen while using visual studio that could point to an extension being used in visual studio.
