    Data Feed stops on ES when adding charts with MES or reverse

    I have two accounts I want to trade. On APEX I want to trade ES and on NINJA I want to trade MES

    For ES I use a 30 MIN (3days) and a 1 MIN (3days) both have tick replay disabled and this is the symbol I want to trade my APEX account

    I then load two identical charts but with MES, here is where I want to trade MES

    If MES was created after ES, in those charts then that data moves and updates but the ES charts then stop updating

    I am also comparing the data on the chart that is moving to the same symbol in TOS and on the 1 MIN chart NinjaTrader is lagging by about 4 minutes

    Thank you for the message.

    Opening a new/2nd chart to a similar or different instrument shouldn't have any affect on the other charts other than needing to use the same set of PC resources to calculate and display results.

    I am curious if this is because of a Template or something that is being added to those charts that is causing this.


    Please perform the following test to create two basic charts without any Templates, add-ons, or indicators applied and see if they still the data from each other still:
    • Go to the Control Center > New > Chart
    • Select the ES 09-24
    • Make it a 1-minute chart
    • Set the 'Days to load' to 5
    • Make sure 'Template' in the top-right corner is set to < None >
    • Set the Time frame > Trading hours > To "Default 24x7"
      • Click OK to make the chart
    • Now, do the exact same steps above a 2nd time but create the chart for the MES 09-24 instead > Click OK to make the chart
      • Do both of the charts continue plotting and loading?
      • If yes, what is different about these charts than the others?

    If the Test chart did not load in or isn't moving, please take a screenshot that includes both of the entire charts and include it in your response.
    • If you are unsure of how to take a screenshot, I recommend using the Windows Snipping tool.
      • Click on the Windows Icon at the bottom of your screen and type the word "Snip"
      • Click on the Snipping tool, click New, then click and drag around the area you want to screenshot
      • Click File > Save As > Save the screenshot where you can find it

    Please respond with the requested screenshot and files above if the Test Charts are still not loading in or updating.

      Thank you for the detailed suggestion.

      I did as you requested and rebuilt my charts without any templates or indicators.
      I then started to add my indicators to see if I could determine what one it was. ( I was suspect of one in particular so I loaded that one last)
      I seems the problem I am facing might be an issue caused bt an indicator I am using from NinjaCators. When I added this indicator to the second instrument, it prevents and slows the price.

      I will reach out to them and report the problem and see if they have any insight.

      If the problem comes back or I learn of any other potential root cause I will ask here.

        I just wanted to provide an update for anyone who might be using the Realtime Supply and Demand indicator from NinjaCators and encounter a similar problem.

        I reached out to them, and they asked if Calculate was set to each tick and it was. I had created a new workspace and had loaded these indicators with the defaults, and they had been working great all dat.

        So try to set the Calculate to "On bar close" (this is default)
