2 instances of same strategy on same chart

    Hi,
I am running the same strategy with different settings on 2 different trading accounts. (High risk settings on Account 1, Low risk settings on account 2).
Both instances of the strategy use the same data series (ES 30 seconds).

    My questions is:
    - is it possible to attach the 2 instances of the same strategy in the same chart? or is it necessary to open a 2nd chart?
    - If it is possible to run both on the same chart, is there any advantage to it? (less memory usage, more efficiency?)

    Thanks,

    Hello horacioofman,

    Thank you for using NinjaTrader.

While you can use the same strategy on the same chart, these may conflict with each other when placing orders and cause your position to become 'unsynced' overall.

Generally, strategies should just be combined into a single strategy that covers all the goals you wanted to achieve for that instrument. That would allow its virtual position to always be known and match the account position. If you run two separate strategies the virtual position will not be in sync between the two, for example, one enters long and the other thinks It's still flat.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

You don't need any charts to run strategies and can run them directly from the strategies tab on the control center without any charts
