Can Auto Trail also move Targets?

Hi,

I set up ATM/3-Step AutoTrail strategy templates a while ago and was pretty happy with them. However, for the past week, something changed, and I'm unsure if I accidentally altered a setting or if something on NinjaTrader's side changed.

Previously, when an order was placed with the ATM template, I could see horizontal lines on the chart for Entry, Stop, and Target. According to my ATM strategy, the stop loss would move up when trades moved in my favor, and the target would move up simultaneously until the trades closed.

Now, using the same template, the trailing feature doesn't work anymore. The stop doesn't move up, and the target doesn't move with it. If I set target=0 in the XML, the stop moves up again, but I don't see the target horizontal line on the chart anymore.

I'm not sure what changed. Does anyone know?

Hello Jonomar,

Thank you for the message.

If you set the Profit Target to = 0, this makes it a Runner without any Profit Target.

• This is normally used in conjunction with an Auto-trail so that there is no limit to the profit that can be reached and instead uses the Stop Target or manual click to exit the position.

If you want the ATM Strategy to also move the Profit Target, you would have to utilize the Chase Settings:
