Hot Keys enabled but Order entry is greyed out

I am using the latest nt version 8.3.1 and i have hot keys enabled but cant use hot keys when going to options->order entry is greyed out

Thank you for posting on the NinjaTrader forums.


When working with hot keys you must have the window of entry selected before taking trades.

For example, if you have a hotkey that is set to buy the ask when pressed - you would need to have either a chart with Chart Trader turned on, SuperDOM or Basic Entry.

I have several F key hotkeys set up for trade entry/cxl/modification on my SuperDOM. Can a macro be coded to automatically make my SuperDOM the focused window when I press one of my trade entry/cxl/modification Fkey hotkeys? I'm finding that I often miss a trade instruction on my SuperDOM with my hotkey because I've forgotten that my SuperDOM is NOT the focused window.
