Need some basic info for NT/Tradestation Email Setup

Firstly, I am very grateful that Ninjatrader offers this functionality. Thank you. I have been in Tradestation a long time and I know that good functionality around this feature will attract other users, too.

I'm finding some differences between the latest desktop platform and the Help documentation for getting email strategy signals from Tradesation to NT. I could use clarity on the following questions, and then I will follow up with detailing those differences so NT can consider updating their docs.

1. Do both Tradestation and Ninjatrader desktop platforms need to be running on the same machine? I assume so because NT requires "LOCALHOST" for the email connection, but I want to make sure.
2. Can Tradestation broadcast its email signals to Ninjatrader's DEMO account?
3. Does the NT DEMO account need to be using a live/paid data subscription? If so, what's the minimum data requirement for futures?
4. Can the NT DEMO account, if and once connected, be exposed to Topstep in order to connect a Topstep combine?

What I'm trying to accomplish is

• Sending Tradestation strategy email signals from a Tradestation SIM account (running the strategy) to Ninjatrader DEMO account for execution,
• and then connecting Topstep to that configured NT DEMO account in order to trade a Topstep combine.

I've done Tradestation to NT in the past, and although I personally ended up switching to NT, I think I can help. Basically yes to all your questions, but I think you can probably cut out the NT demo account and send directly to TopStep Rithmic connected in NT. Or alternatively you'd need a trade copier like Replikanto if you wanted to send to NT Demo, and then have Replikanto copy to the TopStep Rithmic accounts.

backtest831 provided some good info.

NinjaTrader demo accounts cannot be connected to TopStep. You could however, as backtest831 mentioned, connect your TopStep account via the Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage connection in NinjaTrader.

Thanks much for the input. So I understand, in your example above, are you still configuring Tradestation email to then sending to TopStep Rithmic in Ninjatrader? How do you get the signals out of Tradestation and to Topstep Rithmic in Ninjatrader in the case you're outlining?

Also, this is Rithmic Pro, right?

Once you've connected your TopStep account within NinjaTrader you can set the default account in the ATI settings to your TopStep account.
