error 2349 Apon trying to install latest version

had to take a break but tried to install latest version and i received an error message when trying to install. What must i do to get back into my software.

Thank you for reaching out.

I suggest running the below, publicly available Fix It utility by Microsoft.

This program is able to look into many Windows items that may be stopping the installation, first use it to Uninstall NinjaTrader.

Then, once these steps are completed, download and install NinjaTrader:

• Login into the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
• Click "Download" in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar
• Next select "Download" in the "Most Recent Release" Window in the main screen
• Next you can either pick the latest release, or the previous release 8.0.28.0 found on the right hand side of the page and click Download.
• Once the installation had downloaded, ensure any previous version of NinjaTrader is closed before running the installation package.
  • Note: You may need to locate this in your "Downloads" folder in a Windows File Explorer

After the installation package is completed you will be able to log into to the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop with the connection guide linked below:

If you receive an error message when attempting to install, please send us a screenshot of what it reports.


Also, be sure all available updates are installed to your PC from the Windows Settings > Update and Security page. The platform needs at least Windows 10 to properly run.

Be sure to manually check for updates here, and reboot after any updates are installed.

same problem ninja trader is not installed on this pc. I even tried to install on another hard drive directory. the downloaded file does not find any program you offer. please help.

What I have found is this has something to do with OneDrive I recently reinstalled windows and was unable to do the workaround for installing without OneDrive and I went in after the fact and turned it off. My current solution was to turn on OneDrive and sync then try installing again.

I also second that for some reason I need to have OneDrive open to complete the installation without the error 2349. After many years of installing NT, this is the first time I've ran into this issue (for me, Jan 2025).
