Rithmic / Ninja Trader connection logging out due to session count exceeding maximum

Hello,

I'm not sure what's causing the following errors after setting up my Top Step Ninja Trader account and Rithmic:

Rithmic Trader Pro: You have been logged out because another program has logged in with your credentials and would cause your session count to exceed its maximum.

TopStep: Disconnect enforced by broker or 2nd login to the same account

How can I resolve these errors?

Thank you for reaching out.

This would be due to how you have your RTrader pro login set up.

RTrader pro has 2 logins. You should only be logging in to the top portion.




The only time you should also have the bottom/Market data login enabled, is if within NT8 you also have the "Plugin mode for market data" enabled:


These settings have to match, or else you will get disconnected for a "2nd login attempt". I believe Topstep requires plugins enabled on both RTrader and NT8 from what I have seen.


In summary, if within NT8 you do not have "Plugin mode" checked, then DO NOT login to the bottom half login on RTrader Pro.

If plugin mode is checked within NT8, then you would have both logins enabled on RTrader Pro.
