How to Completely Disable Manual Trading?

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to completely disable manual trading in NinjaTrader 8. My goal is to ensure that neither I nor anyone else can place manual trades through any order entry windows like Chart Trader, SuperDOM, or Basic Entry.

I have already customized my workspace to exclude these windows, but I'm looking for a more robust solution. Specifically, I'm interested in:

1. Any advanced settings or configurations that can be applied to lock out manual trading functionality.
2. Possible file modifications or deletions within the NinjaTrader installation or user directories that can disable manual trading capabilities.
3. Custom NinjaScript or Add-On solutions that enforce automated trading only and prevent manual interventions.
4. Any third-party tools or plugins that provide enhanced control over manual trading restrictions.

Has anyone successfully implemented such restrictions, or does anyone have insights into how this can be achieved? Any detailed guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your post.

Through NinjaScript, there is no documented way to completely disable manual trading. There is no supported solution we can provide regarding file modifications to the NinjaTrader installation.

It may be possible for your broker to impose a daily loss or profit limit directly on your brokerage account, rejecting any orders (manual or automated) after the daily loss/profit limit is reached. If your account is with NinjaTrader Brokerage, you can apply these settings to your account via the Account Dashboard.

If your account is not with NinjaTrader Brokerage, contact your broker and inquire if this is available to you.
