Scam kinetick/dtn ??????????????

I have been paying for kinetick data feed for the last year via monthly bill credit card. Recently I was contacted for payments past due and that payment process is done now via a new Client Web portal from DTN. (Email from Christopher J. Ninjatrader Client Services). THIS SOUNDS SUSPCIOUS! I already have a credit card on file with KInetick. Why would I have to repeat this sensitive info to a web portal that might be a scam ? Feedback please.........

Update: I've contacted DTN.COM which is the data provider for kinetick, legit. Because of a migration of a billing system, the auto renew past Jan 1, 2024 was prevented. Once this glitch was resolved, auto billing with the same credit card info on record with kinetick resumed. No new information was needed on my part to anyone........

P.S. Choosing new web portals such as "this is my site".dtn.com raises all sorts of red flags for anyone who has been subject to phishing.............. lol

There was a delay in processing payments for Kinetick which was due to changes in the billing processing that are being made which would explain your monthly invoice being higher than usual for your account.

That being said, you should have received an email from DTN with information about their new Client Portal that they are currently rolling out which resulted in the delay billing for clients. DTN is emailing clients directly with information about the portal and their invoice amounts. Please check your email spam or trash folder to see if the email was sent to those folders. Thanks for your post, I treated it as spam and deleted that email because it looked suspicious to me as well. After reading your post I found the email and updated my details, so thanks.

I have also been on the receiving end of this and I'm not happy.

Suddenly out of the blue, I get a highly suspicious email from DTN thanking me for subscribing, and a link asking me to put in a password. No other explanation or information. I hadn't subscribed to DTN, so I ignored it as a likely scam. You'd have to be crazy to click on that link.

Eventually, an invoice for Kinetick July data comes in from DTN. I then ascertained that it was a bona-fide email from DTN, but I still was none the wiser as I have been paying Kinetick for years via credit card.

Then I log into the DTN account, and I apparently I owe $620 for data fees. I have no idea what this relates to as I have always paid Kinetick direct via credit card.

So then I email billing at DTN asking for an explanation and am told I will receive a reply in two business days. That was nine business days ago. Zip.

Ninja -what do you make of this? It's just so poor all round.
