    Blank chart and only 1 day in lieu of 30 days when it does load

    I downgraded back down to 8.1.1.7 64-bit because of the compiler problem and have uninstalled / reinstalled it. I am using a new workbook just with new charts but have an unusual chart problem.

    I have got Market Replay data downloaded daily for
    ES & NQ from 09-19 to 12-23 and
    MES & MNQ from 03-22 to 12-23

    When I select a Market Replay date for Mar-22 for any of the above I get ‘loading’ and a blank chart.
    To get the data I tried ‘reload historical data’ with no response but if I start Market Replay and stop it and then try ‘reload historical data’ it loads the data for only one day and not 30 days as per the Data Series setting. It is not possible to change any setting to get it to load anything more than one day. It is the same for all instruments.

    However if I select Market Replay date for SEP 19 I get ‘loading’ and it automatically loads the chart for 30 days as per expected for the Data Series setting. I have used this date to initially set up my indicators, but wanted to switch to the micros for trading.

    Anyone with any idea as to why it is going wrong.

            Hello Ray12345​,

            Thank you for reaching out.

            We would first want to rule out of this occurs with all bar types, and not just the custom "BetterRenko" you are using.

            Please try testing your platform in Safe Mode to verify if this behavior is being caused by a 3rd-party add-on using the steps below.

            Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:
            • Loading workspaces and connecting on start-up.
            • Loading custom assemblies (i.e. 3rd-party add-ons and NinjaScripts)
            • Getting instrument updates from the server

            To enable Safe Mode, you can also use the following steps:
            • Shut down NinjaTrader.
            • Click on the Windows Start Button
            • Search for and Launch NinjaTrader (Safe Mode)
            • You may then verify you are in Safe Mode by going to Help -> About.


            Once you have opened the platform in Safe Mode:
            • Reconnect to your Market Replay
            • Please open a new chart with no custom bar types/indicators/templates and test for issues.


            Does the behavior persist on this blank Workspace in Safe Mode?
            • If not, please try opening your previous workspace by going to the Control Center > Workspaces drop-down. It may already show as being open. Hit 'close' and do not save and then re-open it again for your windows to re-appear. You will notice that no 3rd-party add-ons are running in Safe Mode.


            Does the behavior return on your regular Workspace in Safe Mode?
            • If not, restart NinjaTrader, and test for the behavior on your Workspace normally once more with your 3rd-party add-ons available. If this reintroduces issues, I suggest rebuilding your workspace, adding 1 add-on at a time.
            • Please keep track of what add-ons you add back in to identify the cause of the behavior if it returns.


            If it does not return, it indicates the error was isolated only to your other Workspace. I also suggest making a backup of your workspace so we can restore a working version of it if the issue returns. You will want to keep this backup file on an external hard drive or uploaded to a cloud drive such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.

            To create a backup, go to the Control Center > Tools > Export > Backup File. Additional information about backups may be read in our Help Guide linked below.

            Please let me know the results of this test. I look forward to your response.​

              Hi Erick

              I have done all of the above including uninstalling restarting and reinstalling again. It makes no difference, on safe mode or normal mode with a blank chart. I have tried different instruments and different contracts. I get the same results as attached..Heiken Ashi, Kagi, Point and Figure and Line Break all get the same results for the Base period type.
              It looks like it is only accepting minute data but I have got tick replay data. eg. ES 03-22 is 6.68 GB - MES 03-22 is 4.74 GB - NQ 03-22 is 6.3 GB - MNQ 03-22 is 7.91 GB
