Is there anyone here that can explain why and when a Ninjatrader MachineID change would occur on a VPS computer ?

Is there, in the case of a MachineID change, a MachineID licensing system that works ?

I don't think it should ever change on a VPS. I've been using NinjaMobileTrader VPS for over 2 years now, and it's literally never changed. Having the same machine ID has been super convenient especially because some vendors I'm using charge extra for changing machine ID, so very important to have the machine ID never change.

Machine ID changes can occur when there is a hardware change, or Windows update that could trigger something similar. On a rare occasion, CMOS battery changes can also cause the machine ID to change.

Since this is a VPS I do not expect you to have access to this information, but worth reaching out to their support team in any case. Similarly, you'll want to reach out to the vendor to see if there is another way to authenticate your machine ID if it changes.

It is possible that your Virtual Machine was migrated to another Host. This is why it's best to use a provider who specializes in NinjaTrader.
