So, I was just wondering. Is there a quick way to apply a template you've created to a drawing tool?

Let's say I used a rectangle. I changed the color, the opacity, and other parameters. Then, I clicked Template, Save As and saved my new Template.

Is there a fast way to apply that template to another drawing? I'm not talking about setting it as default. I get that. But say I drew another rectangle but that one needs to use a different template I saved.

Something like, if I select it, I can CTRL+ALT+T could apply my template to that item...or something like that?

Unfortunately there is no method to quickly apply a drawing tool template. You would need to double click the drawing object, then click template-->load and select the desired template.

There is a hot key to load templates, however it does not apply to drawing tool templates. If you use it in a chart, it will open a window to load chart templates.

I have forwarded the suggestion to support a method to quickly load templates for drawing tools.

Bummer. Though, I kind of figured this was the case. But, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

As long as you're able to "forward a suggestion" perhaps you can forward this. I'm trying to learn to code now so I can create this, but perhaps this is something one of you skilled coders could put together faster and better than I. I just want a tool that allows me to draw supply and demand zones using one color for Supply and one for Demand and show the proximal and distal price lines and extend the drawing always run along the current time and across all charts...I manually drew up an example.




I'm combing through the "Shapes" code but that's just confusing because it's not just a rectangle tool, it's three different shapes. So, there is a lot of code that doesn't help me at all. Plus, again. I'm new to this coding so I'm learning as I go.

You may check the publicly available NinjaTrader ecosystem website for any custom created indicators from other users (User App Share) or look for 3rd party indicators (Trading Indicators) that offer the functionality you seek.
