Loading historical data.

Hello. I need to open some charts with old data, specifically I need to see:
the day of 4/21/2021 with the GC 06-21 contract
the day of 4/22/2021 with the CL 6-21 contract
the day of 4/22/2021-4/24/2021 with the ES 06-21 contract
the day 4/20/2021 with the 6E 06-2021 contract

I tried downloading historical data and loading it on playback, but that didn't work.

Can you tell me step-by-step how I can load these charts? I will be testing an indicator, and it requires tick replay on.

Thank you for the message.

The "Historical Data" Playback requires Tick data to work. NinjaTrader only saves Historical Tick Data back to 1 year from the current date so your request is NOT possible with the playback connection.

• Tick data: Tick Data is held on the Servers for 1 year and is then removed.
• Minute data: Goes back to 2006 (Forex back to late 2008)
• Daily data: Goes back to 2009 (Forex back very far, varies per instrument) (Index back to 2011)
• Market Replay data: Recorded for the Futures Instruments supported by NinjaTrader Brokerage and will only go back 90 days from the current date.
• Everything from 07/9/2016 back will be NinjaTrader 7 data, not having millisecond granularity.
• Daily data from 07/9/2016 back will be RTH

If you want to use those instruments and dates with the playback connection, you would have to do some internet searches for another company that provides the historical data you need, aquire it, and then import it into the NinjaTrader Platform:
