    Hello GHMueller,

Thank you very much for your post, and welcome to the NinjaTrader Forums!

It is possible to trade with the NinjaTrader Web platform from a Mac using any browser. To access the NinjaTrader Web platform, go to your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard and click "Trade" on the left-hand panel.

Unfortunately, the NinjaTader Desktop app relies on the .NET Framework to operate, which is only available on Windows Operating Systems and does not run on the Mac Operating System.

While we do not officially support running NinjaTrader Desktop on a Mac, many clients have run It on Mac hardware using Windows virtualization programs.

Below are specific installation instructions for running Windows on your Mac via Parallels and VMWare Fusion, two of the more common Windows virtualization programs. Please note that Windows is sold separately from Parallels and VMWare. For additional setup assistance or questions regarding Parallels or VMWare, please get in touch with their support teams directly.

Mac Installation - Configuring NinjaTrader for Parallels

When installing NinjaTrader on a Mac using Parallels, users must ensure that the following steps have been taken prior to the installation.
    1. Start Parallels and select your virtual machine
    2. Press the "Configure" button on the top
    3. Under "Options", select "Sharing"
    4. Uncheck "Share Mac" under "Share Mac User Folders with Windows"
    5. Press "OK" and start the virtual machine

Mac Installation - Configuring NinjaTrader for VMWare Fusion:

When configuring NinjaTrader on a Mac running VMWare, users must ensure that the following steps have been taken prior to installing NinjaTrader.
    1. Start VMWare and select your virtual machine
    2. Press the "Settings" button on the bottom
    3. Under "System Settings", select "Sharing"
    4. Uncheck "Documents" from the "Mirrored Folders" list
    5. Close the "Settings" window and start the virtual machine
Please let us know if we may be of further assistance!

Hello! The BEST solution is running NT8 on a Windows Server.

QuantVPS, best practice for Vendors is to not spam every possible discussion thread. You are way over the spam tolerance limit.

          Understood! We apologize.

Many of the threads we commented on either lacked any input from a vendor, or were spammed by fake accounts affiliated with another vendor. We wanted to add our responses.
