Kinetic auto defaulting to Sim strategy?

Ninjatrader - I currently use DXfeed for data, I know this is a 3rd party connector but it was the best option I could find for a stock strategy that aims to monitor and swing trade across a very broad spectrum of all the symbols of the Nasdaq. This is the path I pursued due to TDA/Schwab api not functioning and dxfeed seems to be the best option I could find that doesnt put restrictions on the data connections one can use.

Backround: I want the free Kinetic data to provide historical daily data but I want my strategies to use the dxfeed for live intra-day data. I have a multi-broker license and have setup simulation accounts and connect to both kinetic and dxfeed on startup.

Issue: Upon initiation of NinjaTrader8 the platform links all the simulation accounts and strategies to the Kinetic Free Daily connector. My strategies then do not work because they need the primary feed to be the dxfeed and the sim account and strategies need to be linked to dxfeed first.

If I do not connect on startup to kinetic things are fine and NT8 initializes the strategies and sim account to link to dxfeed. I can then connect to kinetic.

In the logs kinetic is connecting before dxfeed so everything is linked to that connector. Is there anyway to change the priorities in the application to connect to a specific feed first? Or is there a way to link sim accounts / strategies to a specific feed?

Thank you for the message.

The answer is pretty simple.

Put Numbers in front of each connection Name to define the order you want things to connect:

• 

Go into the Control Center > Connections > configure

• Click each 'Configured' connection that you are using
• Put a number at the front of the "Name" to define the order you want things to connect
• Click Apply or OK

Restart and test.

It should auto-connect on startup in the order that was defined.
