I encountered a serious issue while using the NinjaTrader Order Flow Market Depth Map, and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something similar or if there are any steps I can take to address this.
While trading, the entire NinjaTrader desktop platform froze, which prevented me from exiting a very large trade at a critical Fibonacci level. By the time the platform unfroze, I had already incurred a significant loss. Additionally, once the platform unfroze, it executed the sell order I had placed minutes earlier and then entered another sell order because I had been pressing the sell button repeatedly during the freeze.
Here's a summary of what happened:
- Platform froze while I was trying to exit a trade.
- By the time I regained control, I had already incurred a loss.
- The platform executed the delayed sell order and then placed another sell order, further increasing my losses.
I am using version 8.1.3.0 of the NinjaTrader desktop app on an AWS EC2 t2.large virtual desktop with the following specs:
- vCPUs: 2
- RAM (GiB): 8
Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Order Flow Market Depth Map causing the platform to freeze? Is there any recourse for the loss I incurred due to this glitch? Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
