Is it possible to TAG different entries so they can be viewed separately?

    Howdy.

I'm sure you've all seen the software, that allows you to tag trades, so that you can later look at how different setups, or stop/target strategies work over time.

I am wanting to trade, w/2 lots, that will have different exit criteria, and I'd like to see how they perform over time.

I'll be doing this just through standard NT atm, where I simply have to separate initial targets, w/the same stop.

My question is, is it possible to TAG the two different exit strats, so that I can see how they perform over time?

Is there a way to always have the shorter target be called 'near' and the other 'far' or something, so that when looking in the "Trade Performance" tab, you can see how each of the exit strat performs?

If not, I'll just have to do it all manually, but I was wondering if there was some easy way to do this WITH NINJATRADER.

    Thanks,
    FP

    Hello forrestang ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately there is not a native tool within NT8 to accomplish this.

    However, I would suggest searching the user ecosystem for custom NinjaScripts that may accomplish the same goal or closely resemble the function you have mentioned;

    Please try searching here:

Here is a basic guideline of how to import NinjaScript add-ons in NinjaTrader 8:
Note — To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

    To Import:
    1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
    2. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on...
    3. Select the downloaded .zip file
    4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'

Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by:
    • Right-click your chart > Indicators... > Select the Indicator from the 'Available' list on the left > Add > OK

Here is a short video demonstration of the import process:
