Hello Mathias79,
Thank you for the updates.
If you sign out and back in, does it let you upload things? If you try signing into the Forum through a different web browser, does it let you upload things?
Either way, from your messages it sounds like you are referring to the little number selector that appears when you go to place a Stop Limit order specifically.- By default, you are seeing the Stop Limit Offset selector.
- This lets you define how many ticks away from the Trigger Price you want the Limit Order to be placed.
- For example, imagine we are trading the ES where the tick size is .25.
- You click to place a Sell Stop Limit order at 5000, the number selector appears and you select 6.
- This would put the Sell Limit order 6 ticks (1.50 points) away at 4998.50
- So if the market moved down and hit the price of 5000, the order would start trying to fill, and keep trying to fill as long as it remains at or above the Limit price of 4998.50
- If there was high volatility and the market quickly jumped below 4998.50 before your order made it to the front of the line and was filled, the order would not fill until the market moves back up to the Limit Price or better and remains there long enough for your order to make it to the front of the line and be filled.
- For example, imagine we are trading the ES where the tick size is .25.
- Click here for more detailed information on Stop Limit orders and how they work
- Right-click on the SuperDOM > Click Properties
- Check the box next to "Predefined stop limit offset" > Set a desired value in the "Predefined stop limit offset value" box that appears > Click OK
- From here, when you click to place a Stop Limit order, it will automatically use that offset and be placed with a single click.
Please click here for a video and text review of submitting the different order types on the SuperDOM
Please click here for more details and information on all of the other settings there in the SuperDOM > Properties Menu
Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
