The "Sell LMT" background never goes to Green

Hi I have a similar situation I believe. Please see my attached picture: Click image for larger version

The "Sell LMT" background never goes to Green. it stays Yellowish. Any reason why?

When this is the condition of my chart the take profit never realises, even when the price passes through them. The chart declares with a sound that 'Order Filled' but order stays on, i.e., continues! I have to close it manually.

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks to all who reads.

    Hello SnailHorn,

I've moved this post to a new thread as the previous thread was relating to a NinjaScript Strategy with a yellow strategy name on the Strategies tab of the Control Center.

Your screenshot is showing a stuck order and is not related to the Start Behavior of a NinjaScript Strategy.

The order could be stuck due to an invalid price (depending on the broker) or another order error, or could be due to a connection loss.

If this is a live order, disconnect and re-connect to the connection to clear the order. If this is the Sim101, reset the Sim101 to clear the order.

        Hi,

Yes, I have tried all those mentioned above, restarting and/or re-connecting, but the problem sustains pretty safely in there.

In the above chart, I have a Strategy running that launches, a predesigned ATM strategy, on signal. I also have tried using the strategy with <EnterLong(), EnterShort()> commands but it always keeps the indication with different color; using ATM in the strategy gives me at least the red color for the stoploss line.

The ProfitTarget lines remain "in Pending" mode.I don't know how to make it(the SL PT indication of the ATM or Strategy trade-entry) a 'executed' mode.

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks for reading this far.

          Hello SnailHorn,

          Thank you for reaching out.

Is the automated strategy you are working with, a strategy coded by yourself using the Strategy Builder, or was it acquired from a 3rd party?

In any case, so platform support can investigate:

Please send in your log and trace files so that we may look into what may be occurring.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

Make sure to categorize your request at the top.

Ensure 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

If you could also provide the screenshot of what you are seeing, that would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance, we look forward to helping resolve this issue for you.

            Hello NinjaTrader_Erick,

Thanks for getting back to me

This is a strategy coded by myself, in light of "SampleATMStrategy" of ninjatrader original install. Not from a 3rd party.

Regarding the other requirements please allow me some time to get these in here. To tell you the story, I am desperately need a nap till the morning. The I'll get back with all those prepared for the purpose accordingly. So, please bear with me ;-)

            Thanks again for everything.

              Hello NinjaTrader_Erick,
Sorry about the delay. During the weekend, I had my computer crashed, So reinstalled the windows, the NinjaTrader 8, recreated some strategies and started using NT8 for trading. Previously I reinstalled the NinjaTrader but to no use, nothing changed -- this time it has changed. Please have a look--
These yellow tags are gone for now. However If I get them again, I'll definitely be back here again!

Nonetheless, a big huge thanks to all hands extending towards my need.

                Hello NinjaTrader_Erick,

I am facing strange ghostly phenomenon in my NinjaTrader installation. Here is another situation where if I hide the Chart Trader It's Black Background remains open!

                Any idea why?

FYI, I have configured the green background for my Simulation accounts

Is there any place where I can try to search for the infos for this strange behaviour?

                Any help is much appreciated!
                Thanks

                  Hello SnailHorn,

                  Thank you for your message.

I have seen that behavior occur on charts that have custom borders/drawing tool applied.

Most likely a custom script is not allowing the full "hide Chart Trader" function.

Please try testing your platform in Safe Mode to verify if this behavior is being caused by a 3rd-party add-on using the steps below.

Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:
                  • Loading workspaces and connecting on start-up.
                  • Loading custom assemblies (i.e. 3rd-party add-ons and NinjaScripts)
                  • Getting instrument updates from the server

To enable Safe Mode, you can use the following steps:
                  • Shut down NinjaTrader.
                  • Click on the Windows Start Button
                  • Search for and Launch NinjaTrader (Safe Mode)\
                  • You may then verify you are in Safe Mode by going to Help -> About.

Once you have opened the platform in Safe Mode:
                  • Reconnect to your Data Provider
                  • Please open a new chart with no custom bar types/indicators/templates and test for issues.

*Does the behavior persist on this blank Workspace in Safe Mode?
                  • If not, please try opening your previous workspace by going to the Control Center > Workspaces drop-down. It may already show as being open. Hit 'close' and do not save and then re-open it again for your windows to re-appear. You will notice that no 3rd-party add-ons are running in Safe Mode.

Does the behavior return on your regular Workspace in Safe Mode?
                  • If not, restart NinjaTrader, and test for the behavior on your Workspace normally once more with your 3rd-party add-ons available. If this reintroduces issues, I suggest rebuilding your workspace, adding 1 add-on at a time.
                  • Please keep track of what add-ons you add back in to identify the cause of the behavior if it returns.

If it does not return, it indicates the error was isolated only to your other Workspace. I also suggest making a backup of your workspace so we can restore a working version of it if the issue returns. You will want to keep this backup file on an external hard drive or uploaded to a cloud drive such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.

To create a backup, go to the Control Center > Tools > Export > Backup File. Additional information about backups may be read in our Help Guide linked below. Please let me know the results of this test. I look forward to your response.

More information on modifying skins for your reference:

You can change the color of the Chart Trader based on whether a live or sim account is selected for that order entry window. The color for the live account depends on what skin you're using on the platform, but the color for the Sim account may be set under Tools > Options > Trading > Simulation Color.

When you select the color press 'OK' to confirm the changes. Now when the Sim101 account is selected, the chart trader will have the background color selected.

The color for the live account depends on what skin you're using on the platform.

So if you wish to change the color, you would need to modify the skin template to adjust the color.

More information on working with skins within the platform can be found in our help guide here: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...r_own_skin.htm
