License key migration from NinjaTrader 7

I own a lifetime license for NinjaTrader 7 and want to migrate my license to NinjaTrader 8.

Thank you for your inquiry and for using NinjaTrader!

Your license key may be used either version of the platform and there is no 'conversion' or 'activation' necessary to do so. With that said, the most current builds of NinjaTrader Desktop do not use a licensing system any more. If you are using version 8.1 of NinjaTrader Desktop, you'd need to import your key into your username in order to enable those license benefits. This can be done with the process at the link below:
