How to connect my IB account using the new version NT8

Hi,
I can't find a way to put a lifetime license key to my updated NT8 version. I am using IB+NT8.Please advise.

Thank you for the message.

The NinjaTrader 8.1.x.x platform doesn't use a local License Key any more. It uses the new account plan system which pulls the entitlements from the Username that is used to open the platform.

So, you would need to import the License Key to your NinjaTrader Username and then that would take the place of the License Key moving forward.

Follow this guide to import the License to your NinjaTrader Username:

  • Restart NinjaTrader and sign back in after importing for the changes to take place.

After restarting, please follow the guide below to set up the Interactive Brokers connection:

  • You MUST use the version of Trader Workstation or IB Gateway from this guide as it has been modified to not auto-update to an unsupported version
