VX 06-24 definition wrong, can't load w/ Interactive Brokers (few weeeks now)

    VX 06-24 definition wrong, can't load w/ Interactive Brokers (few weeeks now)

    A few weeks ago I tried to start opening a chart of VX 06-24 through my connection to TWS (Interactive Brokers) with NT 8.0.27.1. I have been able to (and can still) load all previous contracts still on the IB servers, but VX 06-24 has been throwing the same error:
    Default Error on requesting bars series: 'IB was unable to locate instrument. Please verify your symbol mapping is correct for instrument VX 06-24 Cboe'

    What is weird is the NT contract definition correctly has it listed on the CFE, and if I look at the contract in TWS I can see data (and it is listed as being on the CFE in the product description).
    Is there a database error in NT, or is the error on the IB side?

    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files and send to our technical support team at platformsupport@ninjatrader[dot]com.
    • Open the 'Windows File Explorer' then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
    • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

      It has been over a month, still no fix is in sight, and VX 06-24 is the current contract. I sent everything requested by email, but have not heard back. What is the status here?

        I have the same problem:
        Hi, If request data for the Vix futures with IB i can get data for the VX 04-24, VX 05-24,VX 07-24 futures, but for VX 06-24 I get an error message : 'IB was unable to locate instrument. Please verify your symbol mapping is correct for instrument VX 06-24 Cboe'. How can i solve this? regards, Stefan


        It seems the ninjatrader solution is to wait until the june future expires.

            It has been 2 months now. Any update? VX 07-24 loads fine, but it will be problematic going forward if I cannot acquire the data for VX 06-24 to fill in the data series.

                It has been 3 1/2 months. Is anyone at Ninjatrader actually looking at fixing this?
